Four Hours Off-Road behind Belek, with a Buggy to Yourself

The Experience
Belek is built around golf courses and quiet resorts, which is why the country behind it surprises people. A short drive inland the fairways stop, the tarmac gives out and the dust starts. The outing runs to about four hours door to door, roughly an hour and a half of it spent driving. An air-conditioned vehicle collects you at the hotel and climbs gently towards the pine-covered hills at the foot of the Taurus range. At the safari base you are handed a two-seater buggy of your own, a helmet, goggles and dust protection, and an English-speaking guide gives a hands-on briefing before anything is started. What follows is rutted forest track, long dusty straights, shallow stream crossings that spray the wheels, and a viewpoint stop over the wooded valley that is worth the pause. Then it is back to base to rinse off, take a cold drink and compare mud, with the transfer putting you at your hotel in the early afternoon. Included: return transfer from Belek and nearby resorts, the fuelled buggy, safety kit, guide, briefing and local liability insurance. Not included, and said plainly rather than discovered on the day: lunch and drinks on the route, optional extra laps, the photo service and tips. Driving depends on how you handle the machine, so guests of 16 and over who look steady after the briefing take the wheel and younger ones ride as passengers with an adult. Not one for pregnant guests or anyone with back or neck trouble.

Tours in BelekQuestions & Answers
What kind of experience does a buggy safari tour from Belek offer?+
A buggy safari offers an adrenaline-filled driving experience on mud, dust and rugged roads among the natural beauties of the Taurus Mountains. You will have a fun adventure on water crossings, forest roads and special off-road tracks.
How long does a buggy safari tour last and what services are included?+
The full experience takes around 4–4.5 hours door to door, including hotel transfer and the safety briefing. You choose the driving time when you book: the short tour gives you 1.5–2 hours on the track, the long tour 2.5–3 hours. The price includes the two-seater buggy with fuel, helmet and dust mask, guiding and liability insurance.
Who can join the buggy safari tour?+
Driving is skill-based: guests who handle the buggy confidently after the briefing drive their own two-seater, and passengers — who can be younger — ride alongside an adult. Infants aged 0–3 join free of charge. The tour is not recommended during pregnancy or with serious back or neck problems. Anyone riding along as a passenger pays half the driver's price.
What should I wear and bring with me for a buggy safari?+
Old or comfortable clothes, closed shoes and sunglasses — the tracks are dusty and muddy, so bring a change of clothes, sunscreen and water. A mask or bandana helps, and protective goggles are sold at the base if you want them. Flip-flops are not suitable.
